STAMPERS AND GOODS LIFT

Stamper

In a construction project or commonly referred to as construction work, of course there are many types of machines and heavy equipment used. Of the many machines and tools will certainly be adapted to each type of work. Like one of them is a stamper machine. This machine is a special tool used in the process of soil compaction, whether on road or building construction projects. Soil compaction equipment is a tool that should exist in a construction project. In addition to making work easier, this tool aims to improve the results of construction. Stamper tools are currently widely available in shapes and models according to the manufacturer's brand. In general the parts and workings of the tool are the same. This tool is generally a machine tool that uses gasoline in the operation of the engine. This machine tool generally consists of the following parts:

  1. The engine, designed in such a way by the manufacturer as a source of power to change the rotation of the gears to obtain reciprocal vertical motion.
  2. Guard Frame and Steering Handle. Is the part of the external tool that is formed to protect the machine and also place the handle to serve as a guide for horizontal movement. Usually an iron handle is made that can be held by a mechanic to direct the tool according to the place to be compacted.
  3. Foot stomping. Is a part of the tool that is designed in such a way as to continue the reciprocal vertical movement of the machine where by placing the attached spring it moves up and down so that there is a collision with great force against the ground surface.
  4. The mashing plate is the part of the tool that is under the stomping foot which is the part of the tool that is directly related to the surface of the ground being ground.

How to Use the Stamper Tool

1. Tool Check

Before operating the engine, you must first check the oil in the engine tank. It is recommended that the oil should not be too full, because it is feared that by a large enough vibration the oil will be spilled. Machine parts such as nuts and bolts must be checked for looseness, tighten each nut and bolt to avoid the risk of work and also provide lubrication of the required parts.

2. Check nuts and bolts

In order to avoid leaks in the fuel oil, check the bolts and nuts before running the stamper machine. Checking nuts and bolts is very important, nuts and bolts must be in a strong condition, considering the stamper machine has a strong vertical vibration force and to avoid work accidents.

3. Starting the Machine
  • Open the valve on the fuel to the open position make sure the engine is cold,
  • Turn on and open the chuck knob in the open position.
  • Pull the starter grip quickly so that the stamper engine sounds and starts.
  • Return the chuck knob to the closed position so that the engine sound is stable.
  • After the stamper engine is on, warm up for about 3-5 minutes at the lowest/stationary speed.
4. Running the Machine

After the engine has warmed up for about 3-5 minutes at low speed, slowly adjust the speed lever position by moving the adjusting latch slowly to avoid clutch damage. After the adjustment latch has been set to the required speed position, the tool is slowly directed to where it will be compacted by adjusting the position on the engine handle. The horizontal direction speed must be balanced by the operator, which must avoid compaction in one position for a long period of time because it will cause horizontal shifting to be difficult due to the difference in height, where it is recommended that the tool run continuously. If it is necessary to re-compact where desired, it can be done by running the tool to its original place (next round).

5. Stamper Tool Maintenance and Storage

The stamper tool must be regularly maintained both for the engine and other parts, in general, inspection and maintenance of the fuel line, engine oil application, and lubrication of the stamping foot must be carried out. Perform regular checks and maintenance on the fuel line, change engine oil and lubricant on the foot of the stomping. Change the oil on the first use after the first 50 hours of use, the next change should be after 100 hours of use.

For storage, it is recommended to store in a dry and slightly cool place. It is also recommended that a retaining rack be made where the tool is kept in a standing position and must be protected from collisions or bumps that can cause the tool to fall. During storage, it is recommended that the oil in the appliance be empty.

The Use of Stamper Machines in the Construction World

This time we try to review all aspects related to one of the supporting machines in the construction world, namely the stamper machine, as one of the complementary information in the realm of the concrete world. Get to know the benefits of stamper machines for both road pavement and soil compaction for buildings and yard construction along with working principles supported engine with engine parts inside. In the field of construction work there are many types of machines and heavy equipment used. Each type of job will require a different type of machine. For example, a stamper machine. This type of machine is devoted to road compaction. Road construction requires this compactor and pavement tool to maximize the yield of construction, both asphalt and concrete. Like other tools and machines, these tools can be rented or purchased easily.

Benefits of Stamper Machine For Pavement

Before we get to know more about stamper machines, first we know what is meant by road pavement. The construction work process is aimed at coating the pavement between the subgrade layer and the vehicle wheels. With this process, the means of transportation will be smoother. In addition, this work process also allows the road to be more durable and long lasting. In order to make this happen, several things must be met, including:

  1. Aggregate mixture must be right As with other constructions, be it houses, buildings, or bridges, for road pavements, the right aggregate composition is also needed. In addition, the quality must also be guaranteed.
  2. Density or density according to specifications To achieve maximum work results, especially for road pavements, it is required to have a density that is in accordance with specifications. Thus, the road surface will not be easily damaged. Even though it was passed by a heavy load and was hit by a wash of water.
  3. Availability of stamper machines In road or asphalt construction, various tools and machines are needed. One of them is a stamper machine. This compactor and road pavement tool contributes a lot of benefits. The road results will be smoother and more durable.

Elevator Construction

Elevator or elevator is a vertical means of transportation used to transport people or goods. Elevators are usually used in high-rise buildings and are usually more than three or four floors. Elevators are made to save time and allow people to move from one height to another without spending a lot of effort. Lower buildings usually only have stairs or escalators. Modern lifts have buttons that passengers can select according to their destination floor. There are three types of machines, namely hydraulic, traction or fixed pulley, and hoist or double pulley. This type of hoist can be further divided into two parts, namely push hoists and chain hoists.

For some people, the fall of an elevator in a building is not an ordinary occurrence, because it can take people's lives. Of course, for people who continue to use elevators as a means of transportation between floors of buildings every day, this incident may be a frightening and worrying event. Why did that happen? Usually we as elevator users, we only know how to use it without paying attention to the working principle of the elevator. Maybe we feel we have enough knowledge to open the elevator and press a button to show the location and direction of our elevator.

When we read the news about the cause of the elevator crash in the building, it made us a little confused. It is suspected that the cause of the elevator's fall was the breaking of the main rope. Where is the main rope? The main rope is most likely a steel cable. In this section it is clear that the upper part of the elevator is a part consisting of the nacelle, electric motor and control unit. In this section, we will generally control whether the elevator is still suitable for use. For that we will learn to understand the construction part of the elevator.

Elevator construction working principle

“Gearless” elevator machine

The engine used to drive the elevator is located in the cab, usually directly above the slide. To supply power to the train and receive electrical signals from the train, a multi-wire power cable is used to connect the cab to the train. The ends of the cable connected to the train also move with the train, so it is called a "traveling cable".

Elevator line (hoistway)

The engine driven on the nacelle has a higher motor speed, and the drive pulley is connected to the motor shaft through the gear in the gear box, so that the motor shaft speed can be reduced to a lower driving force. Pulley speed. The gearless machine has a low-speed motor, and the drive pulley is directly connected to the motor shaft.

Gearless elevator/elevator motion system

In hydraulic systems (mainly used for medium speed trains in low speed buildings), the train is connected to the top of a long piston, which moves up and down in the cylinder. As oil is pumped from the oil tank into the cylinders, the medium moves up, pushing the piston up. When the oil returns to the oil tank, the carriage goes down. The lifting effect can be direct (the piston is connected to the carriage) or rope (the piston is connected to the carriage by means of a rope). In both methods, the lifting work is done with an electric pump (kinetic energy) to lift the train to a higher height, so that the train can do work (potential energy). This energy transfer occurs each time the bracket is lifted. As the train descends, potential energy is used up and the energy cycle is complete. The up and down movement of the elevator carriage is controlled by hydraulic valves.

Elevator prototype or elevator with double front side elevator

It is a vertical transportation tool with the basic principles of mechatronics which include mechanical components, electronics and control systems. The elevator itself has undergone various changes in shape and type, especially the double front lift (elevator / elevator with doors on both sides). If necessary, tooling and double front elevators are also made. Many companies require elevators with doors on both sides, such as hotels, hospitals, or other buildings that require double front elevators. The use of this type of elevator on a large scale is because the design of many buildings requires efficiency without affecting the function of the building where the elevator itself is located or the purpose of using the elevator itself. The use of this type of elevator in hospitals is only for the convenience of visitors or patients so that they can more easily access the desired facilities or the doctor or hotel they want to refer. The building is designed according to the layout of the room according to its function. Done and different on every floor.

General Terms of Elevator Construction

Safety devices in the construction of lifting equipment such as elevators:

  1. Circuit breaker, its function: cut off electricity (current) from the main panel (sub panel) to the lift control panel. In case of overcurrent, keep electronic equipment away from the elevator.
  2. Speed controller, functions: • If the regulator detects an overspeed on the traffic elevator (regulating pulley rotation), the electricity supply to the elevator control panel will be cut off. • Clamp the governor's sling (take). Mechanically, clamp the adjusting pendulum to the sling adjuster (strap adjuster) and clamp the sling. The sling will pull the safety gear/safety wedge unit located under the car lift The vehicle safety wedge and grab the guide rail to force the elevator to brake.
  3. The end limit switch (upper) is double shield, which can stop the lifting operation when the limit switch (upper) is inoperable.
  4. The limit switch (upper), is used to allow the operation of the lift to exceed the maximum ground travel limit.
  5. Emergency exit (manhole), which can assist / evacuate passengers from the cage in an emergency. The manhole can only be opened from the outside of the top. If this door is opened, the lift will automatically stop.
  6. Emergency light (emergency light), the emergency light will automatically turn on when the power goes out. The average lamp can last for 15 minutes.
  7. Safety device / safety wedge, if the governor detects overspeed, it can be braked (clamped) on the guide rail.
  8. Limit switch (up / down), is used to make the elevator run beyond the minimum floor movement limit.
  9. End limit switches (upper and lower), as double protection, can stop the elevator operation if the limit switch fails.
  10. The outer door keyhole is located on the top side of the elevator's outer door. If you want to provide emergency assistance to passengers in an emergency, you can open it.
  11. Door lock switch, used to prevent the door from opening when the elevator is running (running). The door can only be opened after the cage is stopped.
  12. Intercom, in case of blackout or emergency, passengers can communicate with technicians in the computer room, control room or security room (building maintenance).
  13. Safety shoes, used to detect interference when the door is closed, and reopened after finding something. Photocells can be used with this safety shoe.
  14. Weighing equipment (load detection), is used to provide / activate a buzzer alarm when the weighing equipment detects that the cage is overloaded. If the weighing equipment is on, the elevator door will remain.

In general, the types of elevators which are divided according to their function can be divided into 3 (three) groups, namely:

  1. Passenger elevator: This elevator is used for transporting passengers only. Usually we often meet in hotels, hospitals and office buildings. This type of elevator is very safe. This is because it concerns personal safety.
  2. Freight elevator: Actually this type is almost the same as passenger elevator or elevator, maybe the only difference is the size of the room and the security system.
  3. Maid elevator (waitress, small freight elevator): This is a service elevator that we usually encounter in hotels, and its function is to transport goods to hotel occupants' rooms. From the perspective of the transportation system, the difference between service elevators and passenger elevators is very clear, that is, passenger elevators are only suitable for humans, but the function of service elevators is to transport people and goods.
And in this review we will discuss the Goods Lift, let's look at the reviews below.

Freight elevator

After knowing how the history of the discovery of elevators and what types of elevators exist in the world. This time we will discuss a more complete explanation of the cargo lift or what is commonly referred to as a freight lift. This tool is the right solution, used as a means of moving material or goods between floors vertically. It is suitable for use in buildings, shops or factories.

This type of elevator actually has a physical condition or shape that is not much different from passenger elevators in general. Usually the cargo lift is also located in the shopping center, which is used to accommodate the merchandise belonging to the store. While the cargo lift in the factory is used to move heavy goods.

Generally have a shape like a cage and made of iron. The size of the cargo lift itself is very different from other lifts, due to transporting heavy goods in large quantities. Usually this lift is installed in the indoor area and can also be installed outdoor, depending on the needs of the warehouse. Using this tool is very easy and of course safe.

The components have been equipped with an automatic control area located on each floor. In terms of security itself, it is also very safe and secure, because it has been equipped with a safety device or safety look. Please note that the cargo lift can transport goods with a weight range from 500 kg to 5 tons. The capacity depends on the needs and if you need a large capacity then the price is also more expensive.

In use, the cargo lift also has very simple maintenance. You must not use this lift to transport goods with excessive capacity. In addition, use the elevator with the time that is not excessive as well. This is so that the cargo lift can be durable and maintained.

Goods Elevator Specifications and Types

Goods elevators have useful types and specifications to suit the needs of users in various fields and conditions. The following are some of the specifications on the cargo lift, namely:

1. Dumbwaiters

Dumbwaiter is a type of small cargo lift. The capacity of this lift starts from 50 kg to 200 kg. Usually in the hospital which is useful for transporting medical equipment, medical waste, and even medical clothing. Generally, the elevator cabin is tightly closed and made of stainless because it prioritizes cleanliness.

2. Simple Freight Elevator

This type of elevator is widely used in home work environments, medium industries and even SMEs. Has a capacity of about 100 kg to 500 kg. In general, the cabin is simple and sometimes does not require a door. Although simple, this type of elevator still prioritizes safety.

3. Goods Lift Capacity 1 – 2 Ton

For this type requires a cabin with a fairly large size. Generally, the cabin size is about 1 m2 and the design needs to be considered. With a large capacity, a very safe and sturdy security device is needed. Not only that, the support structure and the rail road must also be considered because it involves mutual safety and comfort.

4. Goods Lift Capacity 2 – 3 Ton

Usually the goods transported by this type of lift are in the form of liquid materials, cars, metals or other heavy goods. This elevator uses hydraulics as a driving machine. With a large capacity, it is highly recommended not to use the chain as a companion to the engine.

5. Project Freight Elevator

In the project area, there are two types of cargo lifts that are usually used, namely mobile and standby. For the standby type, it has a shape that is almost similar to a freight elevator with a capacity of 1 ton – 3 tons. Meanwhile, the mobile type or that can be moved easily using a diesel engine. This machine makes the mobile lift able to move or be moved easily.

Components Of Freight Elevator

there is this cargo lift, has the main components that support the performance of the means of transporting or moving goods. Each item or component has its own function and use. Starting from the cargo cabin that functions as a container or a place for the cargo to be moved. It has a variety of shapes and of course the size is adjusted to the needs. The next component, the cab rails become guides and locks so that a cargo cabin does not sway and stays in its path.

The propulsion engine in the cargo lift acts as a power center, so that the cargo cabin can move up and down. In this lift using a steel rope, this rope is famous for its advantages which are stronger and more elastic. The use of this rope is more recommended than the use of chains. For this rope, there is a special indication when it is close to breaking. Of course this cannot be obtained from the use of chains. The last component is the control panel, this section is useful for regulating whether the lift should move or stop.

Benefits of having a freight elevator

In the use of cargo lifts, of course, there are benefits and advantages, including:

  1. The existence of a freight elevator can save time in moving goods faster.
  2. Save more energy spent by the workers.
  3. Productivity will increase along with saving energy and time at work.
  4. Items that will be moved to the floor or other place, will certainly remain in safe condition. This is because the goods are protected from collisions with other objects.
